William Wordsworth:
The little unremembered acts of kindness and love are the best parts of a person's life.

My Star

by Randy DeMedici
In a vacant field, in the dead of the night;
Gazing up at the sky, I think of my plight.
Billions of stars in the heavens above;
Knowing these stars all represent love.
A star for each person, that much I can see;
A star for each person, but no star for me.
Tell me what I did wrong, tell me... how did I fall?
A life without love, is no life at all.
Suddenly in the darkness, intense shining light;
A beautiful star, so brilliant and bright,
Catches my eye and outshines all the rest;
Feelings of joy fill the hole in my chest.
Could this be my star, is this one for me?
So perfect to look at, how can this be?
Oh, that I could have wings and fly up above,
To be with my star, the one that I love.
I reach towards the sky; can't she see that I'm here?
She knows not who I am; my eyes shed a tear.
I know I will give all the love in my heart;
She's so close to me now... still, too far apart.

Pleasure for an hour, a bottle of wine;
pleasure for a year, marriage;
pleasure for a lifetime, a garden.

It's been so good to have you as a friend:

As sweet and rich as honey-colored sun

Slanting steep across a summer lawn,

Gilding life with all that love can lend.

And now that you yourself have griefs to tend,

I want to be the strong and caring one

To count to you the lovely things you've done

Until these troubles pass and sorrows end.

You are so beautiful in form and soul

That you bring happiness to all you're near:

Just as a sea rose, flowering in mist,

Makes a paradise of some bleak shoal,

Turning truth to something far more clear,

No pain unsoothed

or rain-swept cheek unkissed.

~~My Daughter A Doctor?~~

MY DAUGHTER A DOCTOR?A woman who is a physician told this story about her then four-year-old daughter. On the way to preschool, the doctor had left her stethoscope on the car seat, and her little girl picked it up and began playing with it. Be still, my heart, thought the woman, my daughter wants to follow in my footsteps! Then the child spoke into the instrument: "Welcome to McDonald's. May I take your order?"

~~The Nun And Gasoline ~~

A nun who worked for a local home health care agency was out making her rounds when she ran out of gas. As luck would have it there was a station just down the street. She walked to the station to borrow a can with enough gas to start the car and drive to the station for a fill up. The attendant regretfully told her that the only can he owned had just been loaned out, but if she would care to wait he was sure it would be back shortly. Since the nun was on the way to see a patient she decided not to wait and walked back to her car. After looking through her car for something to carry to the station to fill with gas, she spotted a bedpan she was taking to the patient. Always resourceful, she carried it to the station, filled it with gasoline, and carried it back to her car. As she was pouring the gas into the tank of her car two men walked by. One of them turned to the other and said: "Now that's what I call faith!"

WONDER WHY? Every night before he went to bed little David was told Bible stories. One night while he was in the bathtub he kept putting his hand in the water and then bringing it out and studying it. Finally, with a puzzled look, he asked, "Mommy, if we are made out of dirt why don't we turn to mud when we get wet?"

Friendship's Flower© Helen Steiner Rice
Life is like a garden

And friendship like a flower,

That blooms and grows in beauty

With the sunshine and the shower.
And lovely are the blossoms

That are tended with great care,

By those who work unselfishly

To make the place more fair.
And, like the garden blossoms,

Friendship's flower grows more sweet

When watched and tended carefully

By those we know and meet.
And, if the seed of friendshipIs planted deep and true

And watched with understanding,

Friendship's flower will bloom for you.

~~Meet Justy~~

Now you are a person that I would love to meet,

You have a beautiful nature composed and sweet.

A voice so rich and melodious in tone,

You never grumble you never moan.

Encouraging, endearing so serene,

Such a person rare to be seen.

An example to one and all,

Waiting to help if one should fall.

In your eyes you show your soul,

Just to be like you will be my goal.

You that help all on their way,

Even on a good or very bad day.

I would just love you to greet,

As an honoured guest you would be neat.

For you are a person that I would love to meet,

Then my own nature would be extra sweet.

What Would Life Be
by Scott Wheeler, Sr
What would life be with out friends like thee

I'll tell you, like no longer being free.

Imagine what life would be so sad and blue

To go through life without that special you.

And I know we live so far away

Through the internet we are like castaways

Never get to touch or hug you for this I only pray

For some day I hope we can meet

To hug and laugh and dance to the beat

I know this would be a treat

For now this is all I see

Is my good friend here with me

Just think what life would be

Without friends like thee .

Some Friends Are Forever
Sometimes in life,you find a special friend:
Someone who changes your life by being part of it.
Someone who makes you laugh until you can't stop;
Someone who makes you believe that
there is really good in this world.
This is forever friendship.
When you're down,
and the world seems dark and empty,
your forever friends lifts you up in spirit
and makes that dark and empty world
suddenly seem bright and full.
If you find such a friend,
you feel happy and complete
you have a forever friend for life!
